I’ve worked as an Information Architect and User Experience Specialist since 2003 for a variety of projects and clients. Currently I lead a team of interaction designers working on mobile and tablet applications at Morningstar.
While working at Tanagram Partners I designed Fortune 500 data mining applications, next-generation cockpit interfaces, a large-scale online banking system, and an augmented reality heads–up display for fire fighters and other first responders. At Tribune Technology, I spent most of my time working on the CMS that powers all of Tribune’s media sites, but also worked on a number of other more experimental projects as well, including Tribune’s first foray into e-commerce. I’ve also planned, conducted, and analyzed a number of usability tests both at Tanagram Partners and Tribune Technology.
In 2003, one of the sites I designed and built was chosen as a finalist for the South by Southwest Interactive Web Awards. In 2000 I received a BA in English (with an emphasis in Creative Writing) from Illinois Wesleyan University. While I was there I helped the Admissions department develop an award-winning mini-site.
